Professional Tax Services for Individuals, Corporations and More

We prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, gift tax returns, and 5500’s. We don’t currently prepare taxes for non-profit entities or foreign business activity.

We offer comprehensive tax planning solutions tailored to lower taxes while simultaneously increasing wealth, answering questions, and solving problems unique to your situation. Our planning is designed for short term and long-term goals.

We use a secure portal to exchange documentation, communicate during tax preparation, obtain signatures, and receive payment for our fees. Your tax documents will be stored online for several years, while you’re a client, should you need copies for banking or other reasons.

We start each tax preparation engagement with a questionnaire and engagement letter. The engagement letter is mandatory but most of the questionnaire is not. However, the questionnaire is an important step in minimizing both your taxes and our fees.

We will not prepare a return for a corporation or partnership unless there is a formalized accounting system using traditional accounting software such as QuickBooks or something similar. Failure to have a formal accounting system prevents proper quality control and diminishes audit defense techniques.

Our services reduce the hassle and inconvenience of laborious tax preparation so that you have more time for other enjoyable endeavors.

We work with simple to complex tax returns, but we no longer prepare foreign business tax returns. Our foreign tax reporting is limited to standard FBARs and expat filing.

We offer tax planning to reduce near-term and long-term taxation while growing your wealth. We educate you on the affects of various strategies so you can prioritize your options to meet your goals.

We also offer tax projections to ensure you pay timely to minimize penalties and interest.

If you want to learn about new tax laws so you can take immediate action, we conduct annual tax law updates for those who are a part of our planning programs.

Tax Service Reviews

“This year was the first year my wife and I decided to hire someone professionally to do our taxes. Having bought a house in La Mesa a year earlier, along with having our first child, I wanted to find someone in the area that could help us with our new tax situations. After looking on Social Media along with Yelp I ran across Brian’s profile and yelp reviews. I sent him and email and he called me back and asked me some initial questions about our tax history. We had an initial meeting at his office and gave him all our tax documents. My wife peppered Brian with a lot of questions, and to my surprise he answered all of them with ease. His knowledge was astounding, and the comfort he gave us in handling our taxes was validated. Brian was very attentive to email me when he needed something and get back to me ASAP when I had questions. Overall our return turned out great, and we had a second meeting to go over our return. Our refund was deposited to our account within a week, and my wife and I were very satisfied with Brian’s tax services. Looking forward to next year and working with Brian again. If you are looking for a tax person and have no clue who to pick, call up Brian!” – Scott B., Yelp

“Brian was night and day from the last tax person I called to get a quote. He actually asked me what it is I wanted and what I would be filing. He even offered to look at my previous tax returns to see if he can help me his year. Depending if I really need him or not, the initial service he provided was amazing. I know exactly who I will be going to when I buy my house and taxes get a little more complex.” – Admin P., Yelp

Tax Preparation & Planning FAQs

How long should I keep my tax records?

We recommend keeping your records for at least seven years. If you have or had carryforward data on a tax return, keep your records scanned in for as long as possible to defend the carryforward data. Scan your materials and keep them online on a secure portal.

What CPA services do you offer?

We offer tax preparation, tax planning, bookkeeping, accounting consulting, payroll, payroll consulting, and audit representation.

What is the difference between a CPA and a regular accountant?

A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) has demonstrated professional competence by passing a rigorous examination, requiring more than a bachelor’s degree, and sufficient industry experience before being authorized to use the CPA credentials. Once a CPA, we must meet rigorous continuing education requirements and adhere to a stringent set of ethical standards.

Is there any industry you specialize in?

Yes. While we work with all industries, we specialize in the medical profession, high net-worth individuals, and those in the armed forces.

The medical profession carries a wide range of possibilities that allows us to exercise our entire skill set. Many in the medical profession have or can easily have businesses, high student loan debt, high compensation that requires advanced planning, and they are compassionate and a joy to work with. We enjoy working with all fields in the medical profession including doctors, dentists, veterinarians, nurses, support staff, etc.

High net-worth individuals usually require complex planning and allow us to exercise our complete skill set.

As a veteran, Brian enjoys providing quality advice to those who have served our nation.
