Grigg Financial Group provides accounting services only for select clients. We offer only after-the-fact accounting so we don’t currently offer accounts payable or accounts receivable services. We also don’t offer live accounting services. We usually complete accounting work after the month’s end.
Accounting Consulting
If you engage another bookkeeper, or complete your own bookkeeping, GFG offers a Quality Accounting Program to help elevate the quality of the accounting. This is not an audit, review, or compilation service and no opinion is rendered and third-parties can’t relay on our work.
The Quality Accounting Program is a system of many checks to ensure basic quality control standards are implemented. We communicate with the accounting matters person on any findings and recommendations we have.
We work with your accounting department to standardize and implement controls for effective and efficient accounting policies. In addition, we assist clients with budgeting and forecasting models for future planning.
Accounting FAQs
We complete our own accounting or we have an outside bookkeeper. Will you still work with us on the accounting work?
Yes. We have a “Quality Accounting Program” where we will conduct various quality control checks to help you improve the confidence and accuracy of your accounting.
However, we do not complete CPA type reviews or audits since we do not provide any CPA assurance services. We do not issue any opinions on your accounting and what we do can’t be relied upon by third parties.
What is your Quality Accounting Program?
We conduct a series of checks on your accounting to determine if there are areas needing improvement or owner attention. Many times we find errors in bank reconciliations, errors in or neglected accounts, improperly classified activity, and we find lack of various quality control procedures.
However, this program is not an audit, review, or compilation so no opinion is given and our results can not legally be used by third parties. Should you need audit, review, or compilation services then we have referrals for you.
I want to be removed from all aspects of accounting or taxation. If I engage you, how can I be removed from these hassles?
You can’t be completely removed. While we minimize your time in these areas, you must be involved. As the taxpayer, the government holds you responsible for the reporting and accuracy of all financial data. We report the information as we understand it and implement advanced techniques but you are expected to review the figures for reasonableness and accuracy.
