Client Onboarding Checklist

GFG requires the following information to be provided in order to engage services. 


1. Tax Documentation & Filings

  • Prior Returns: Upload copies of your most recently filed tax returns.
  • Estimated Taxes: Ensure all estimated tax vouchers and proof of payments are uploaded to your folder.
  • Last-Minute Deductions: Confirm all contributions or eligible deductions are finalized and paid by April 15th.

2. Retirement & Specialized Savings

Please provide documentation regarding funding for your:

  • IRA (Traditional or Roth)
  • 401(k) contributions
  • 529 College Savings Plans
  • H.S.A. (Health Savings Account) funding

3. Deductions & Expenses

  • Itemized Deductions: Provide a summary for review.
  • Medical Expenses: Please visit our [Medical Deductions Listing Page] for a full list of eligible expenses to submit.
  • Vehicle Records: Upload all DMV renewal notices and mileage logs categorized by business, charity, and medical use.

4. Business & Real Estate

  • Profit & Loss (P&L): Provide a current P&L statement for your business. If you do not have one, you may use our provided template.
  • Rental Property: Provide a report of all rental income and expenses. Please include the Property Manager’s Report and/or use our rental template.

5. Digital Setup & Formatting

  • Mobile Portal: Download our mobile app to your phone, enabling push notifications for updates.
  • File Standards: All scanned documents must be submitted in one of the following formats:
    • PDF 
    • Word
    • Excel 

6. Forward-Looking Changes

  • Notify us of any anticipated changes in your income.
  • Note any expected sales or purchases of real estate or significant property.
